Front End Developer E-commerce (Shopify) and Performance Marketing Specialist

Role Description

The ideal candidate will take on a dual role:

  • Front End Developer E-commerce with Shopify expertise, responsible for the design, implementation and management of user interfaces for the company's e-commerce site with a focus on enhancing customer experience and optimizing conversions. The candidate will work with Shopify and its associated frameworks, utilizing front-end development best practices to create an intuitive, conversion-friendly user experience optimized for both desktop and mobile browsing.
  • Performance Marketing Specialist, responsible for planning, managing and optimizing paid digital marketing campaigns agreed with the marketing committee, aimed at driving traffic, acquiring new customers, and improving return on investment (ROI). Working closely with the marketing team and key company managers, the candidate will leverage data and analytics to enhance campaign performance across platforms such as Google Ads, Meta (Facebook and Instagram), LinkedIn, and other digital channels.

Responsibilities

  • Website Development and Maintenance: Develop, customize, and maintain the front end of the Shopify-based e-commerce site, ensuring a responsive design that aligns with the brand’s image.
  • User Experience (UX/UI): Collaborate with designers and the marketing team to implement an optimized user interface, ensuring a smooth and engaging purchasing journey for the user.
  • Performance and SEO Optimization: Enhance site speed and SEO indexing through advanced development techniques, image optimization, and clean coding practices.
  • Shopify App Integration: Work with Shopify apps and plugins to integrate additional functionalities, such as live chat, marketing automation, and tools to enhance the user experience.
  • Debugging and Testing: Conduct debugging activities, resolve any bugs, and ensure new features are thoroughly tested and function correctly.
  • Campaign Planning and Management: Plan and launch digital marketing campaigns on platforms such as Google Ads, Meta Ads (Facebook and Instagram), LinkedIn, and other relevant channels, ensuring alignment with business goals and marketing strategies.
  • Performance Optimization: Monitor campaign performance daily and optimize investments through data analysis, A/B testing, and budget adjustments.
  • Data Analysis: Use analytics tools like Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to track traffic, conversions, bounce rate, and other key metrics, providing data-driven insights and recommendations to optimize campaigns.
  • Reporting and KPIs: Generate weekly and monthly reports on campaign performance, comparing results against established KPIs, and share insights with internal teams and company managers.
  • Research and Innovation: Stay updated on the latest trends and best practices in performance marketing and advertising platforms to identify new opportunities and optimization strategies.
  • Budget Management: Monitor and manage campaign budgets to maximize ROI and ensure efficient resource allocation.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Digital Design, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in similar roles
  • Advanced knowledge of the Shopify platform and its apps
  • Understanding of on-page SEO principles and web performance optimization techniques.
  • Ability to troubleshoot quickly and accurately and collaborate with teams to find optimal solutions.
  • Advanced knowledge of digital advertising platforms such as Google Ads, Meta Ads (Facebook, Instagram), LinkedIn, and others.
  • Proficiency in Google Analytics 4 (GA4) for performance analysis and reporting.
  • Experience with campaign management tools and optimization platforms (e.g., Google Tag Manager, marketing automation platforms).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data to make informed decisions.
  • Skill in managing campaign budgets and optimizing ROI.
  • Knowledge of A/B testing techniques and Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO).
  • Excellent communication skills to present data and strategies to internal teams and stakeholders.
  • Excellent command of Excel and the Microsoft Office suite.
